Recyclable Packaging

Custom Recyclable Packaging

By making the decision to purchase environmentally friendly products, such as recyclable packaging,, you’ve already taken a step toward contributing to a circular economy. ePac partners with brands just like yours to make sustainable packaging a part of your product line.

ePac’s Recyclable Packaging Details

At ePac, we manufacture recyclable rollstock, stand up pouches, and lay flat pouches for brands of all sizes.

100% Polyethylene (PE)

ePac’s recyclable flexible packaging is made from 100% polyethylene (PE), and is ideal for rollstock, stand up pouches, and lay flat pouches.

High-Barrier Films

Having the ability to customize the barrier layers to fit each unique SKU is important. High barriers can protect your product from oxygen and moisture, while protecting our environment

Premium Quality

Don’t trade quality, for sustainability. With ePac’s recyclable pouches and rollstock, you can still have the same high-quality packaging, while fulfilling your brand’s sustainability initiatives.

Benefits of ePac’s Recyclable Packaging

Reduce Inventory + Obsolescence – With ePac’s low minimum order quantities and quick turnaround time (5-15 business days*), you can reduce excess packaging inventory and eliminate obsolescence. A reduction in obsolete packaging inventory means less waste entering landfills.

Sustainable ManufacturingePac’s digital printing platform produces less waste and VOC emissions, uses less energy than conventional printing technologies, and eliminates the need for printing plates. ePac’s digital presses are carbon neutral and use compostable printing inks, so the creation of your recyclable pouch packaging will simultaneously contribute to a circular economy.

Communicate with Consumers with Universal Recycling Symbols With ePac’s recyclable structures, brands can label their packaging with a combination of the #2 Resin Identification Code (ASTM D7611) for HDPE recycle streams and a generic Store Drop-off symbol to guide proper recycling.

*5 days for rollstock. 15 days for pouches. Upon artwork approval.

Recyclable Packaging FAQs

Are your recyclable films FDA compliant?

Yes, all of our recyclable films are FDA compliant for direct food contact. Our food grade plastic pouches are ideal for food brands of all sizes.

Are your recyclable films store drop-off only?

Since recycling programs vary greatly from state to state and within each municipality, store-drop off is the most reliable method at this time. You can find a drop-off location nearby to ensure that your items will be directed to the right place.

Do your recyclable films perform as well as your regular films?

Absolutely. Similar to our non-recyclable films, our recyclable films come in high-barrier options. Prior to releasing new products and capabilities, all of our films and final products undergo rigorous testing internally at our manufacturing plants and externally with our customers’ production process/machinery.

Can you assist me with labeling my packaging correctly?

Yes! You can use the #2 Resin ID Code alongside a generic store drop-off logo, or if you have enrolled in the How2Recycle program, we can use the logo they’ve provided.

What are the recyclable pouch dimensions?

We can create custom-sized stand up pouches and lay flat pouches. Additionally, we can provide you with our standard sized products if you’re unsure of where to begin.

What are some of the recyclable pouch features?

The majority of our recyclable packaging is customizable to include any of the following:

  • High vapor barriers that block moisture, oxygen, and aroma from entering or exiting the package
  • Different hang hole options
    • Round
    • Sombrero
  • Transparent or clouded windows
  • Glossy or matte finishes
  • Puncture and tear-resistant
  • Tear notches
  • Closures including:
    • Press-to-close zippers
    • Certified Child-Resistant zippers (pouch is recyclable)
  • Available in a wide range of sizes
  • Pouch bottom / gusset options including DOY Seal, K-Seal, Plow Bottom, 3 side Seal (3SS).

We strive to provide solutions for each person. For custom requests, please contact our team or by calling us at 844-623-8603
