product faq
What is flexible packaging?
Flexible packaging is non-rigid packaging — for example, a bag or pouch — that is used to protect a variety of different products. Unlike a rigid package like a box or jar, flexible packaging is “flexible” in nature and can easily change shape.
What type of flexible packaging do you produce?
We produce finished stand up pouches, lay flat pouches, and roll stock.
What is your turnaround time?
Once your artwork has been approved, finished pouches (including stand up pouches and lay flat pouches) will be shipped in 15 business days, and roll stock will be shipped in 10 business days.

Do you offer recyclable or compostable packaging?
While the idea of compostable/biodegradable packaging might sound appealing, it’s not yet a fully reliable or practical solution. Many consumers believe that compostable/biodegradable materials can simply be thrown away in nature and will break down naturally. However, this is not the case. Compostable/Biodegradable packaging still requires specific industrial processes and conditions to decompose properly, which are not always readily available. Under the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) regulations, recyclability is preferred over compostability. Only a few types of packaging shall be industrially compostable, such as sticky labels and permeable tea bags/coffee and beverage bags. These will be processed in bio waste treatment facilities.
At ePac, we are committed to minimising environmental impact and avoiding further pollution. That’s why we focus on offering recyclable packaging. Recyclable materials can be processed within existing infrastructure, ensuring a more sustainable and practical approach to reducing waste and conserving resources. By prioritising recyclability, we support a circular economy and make it easier for consumers to make eco-friendly choices.
Do you offer custom pouch sizes? What about standard sizes?
Our sizes are fully customizable to fit your needs! We also offer standard sizes. Contact us for more information on sizing.
We use wide-web digital printing and can manufacture most pouch sizes. Our HP Indigo 20000 prints on a 740 mm film width. This allows for multiple images to be placed on one frame or one pouch with print dimensions of 740 mm film wide.
A key feature of digital printing is “frame utilization”. The goal is to optimize frame utilization by adjusting the pouch dimension. Using as much of the frame as possible can have a significant effect on your cost.
