ePac Celebrates the Grand Opening of its First Austrian Facility in Innsbruck

ePac Innsbruck celebrated its grand opening on April 20th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by notable guests including Mayor Benedikt Lentsch and WKO district office manager Otmar Ladner. After an extensive search for a suitable location, we were thrilled to finally open our first facility in Austria, located in Zams.

As an international company, gaining a foothold in Austria is a significant milestone for us. The media was also present and we received positive coverage in local and regional newspapers, showcasing the community’s enthusiasm for our new facility.

The event kicked off with speeches from our Managing Director, Johnny Hobeika, and Head of IT, Parag Patel. They spoke about the importance of sustainability, regional products, and decentralization of production.

“We’re very happy to build our [Austria plant] at this location. We can sustainably fulfill packaging orders really well with the decentralization of production. Regional products are packaged regionally and also recycled regionally”, said Parag Patel.

Our regional sales manager, Norbert Zillner, shared the advantages of our products, including ePacONE(One Network Everywhere) and ePacConnect, and the partnership with ‘Packaging with a Future’ highlighting the importance of sustainability for our company.

Operations Manager Christian Bischofberger spoke about the Tyrol location and the local economy.

“We are very happy to be here in Zams. The perfect connection to the motorway and the uncomplicated cooperation with our landlord, the Kofler company, motivates the team and me and lets us look to a productive future!”

Benedikt Lentsch, Mayor of Zams, emphasized the positive impact our company will have on the local economy and the creation of new jobs for the community.

“I am proud that this new location in Zams strengthens our regional economy and creates jobs for the local population. I wish you all the best and a successful and efficient production process.”

After the speeches, the guests were given a guided tour of our production facility, where they witnessed the state-of-the-art technologies and machines used in our production process.

The guests were given a chance to see the production process up close, from printing the packaging with the HP Indigo 25k, to the Nordmeccanica laminator, the Karville cutting machine, and the Totani bag-making machine.

Plant manager Christian Bischofberger stated it was a unique opportunity for the guests to witness the production process and for customers to see how their packaging is produced.

“Such an insight into production is something special which you don’t experience every day. It’s also very interesting for our customers to see how their packaging is produced.”, said plant manager Christian Bischofberger.

The event concluded with a networking session where guests socialized and shared ideas over food and drinks. Overall, the grand opening was a success, and we are grateful for the warm welcome we received from the community.

We are excited to be part of the Zams community and contribute to its growth and prosperity for years to come.
