Launched as a partnership between Arion Partners, LLC, and Emerald Packaging, Inc., ePac Flexible Packaging will commence operations in Madison, Wisconsin, in April 2016. The company is the first of its kind to produce flexible packaging using digital printing, specifically with the HP Indigo 2000 press. Its goal is to provide a cost-effective alternative for consumer packaged goods companies to place orders for quick turn, custom printed, short and medium run length jobs. Customers will gain the ability to go to market faster, implement more marketing promotions, and print to demand to reduce inventory and obsolescence.
The management team for ePac is comprised of Arion Partners’ Jack Knott, Virag Patel, and Carl Joachim. They leverage respective backgrounds in flexible packaging company management, global market development, and production digital printing business development. Having identified a clear market for digital flexible packaging, the team is eager to move away from analog printing and dedicate its entire business model to the emerging digital future. Customer engagement is set to begin immediately.
