Do you know the trouble of wanting to package your products fast, easy and efficiently? Well, we from ePac have found the perfect solution for you. In order to guarantee success we created selected steps when selecting and packaging your products. Let us walk you through the process:
Step 1: Request a quote
Tell us about your product and ePac will send you a quote within 24 hours. You can find the form here.
Step 2: Submit your design
Send us your packaging design(s). Click here to see how to Submit Artwork for ePac.
Step 3: Approve proof
ePac checks the designs for conformity. Then all you have to do is approve the proof for printing.
Step 4: Receive packaging
You will receive your pouches within 10 to 15 business days. This happens once the artwork is approved, of course. Our variety of packaging material includes stand up pouches, rollstock and lay flat pouches.
Once the selection of your preferred packaging material is done we can start the journey of your pouch.
Step 5: Printing with Digital Speed
Your design is digitally processed and printed directly onto the film without the need for printing plates.
This enables immediate design changes, the printing of variable data, and orders with multiple items (SKUs) without setup costs.
Step 6: Laminate for Barrier Protection
The printed film is laminated against a second (and sometimes third) barrier layer.
This protects your design from scratches and ensures that your product stays fresh by blocking oxygen and moisture. Find out here, which type of barrier film is best suited for food packaging.
Step 7: Cure with Science (The Wait)
This is where engineering comes into play.
The laminated rolls must be stored in a temperature-controlled room so that the adhesives can chemically bond and cure.
This process cannot be accelerated; it is crucial for the safety and durability of the packaging.
Step 8: Slit with the Art of Precision Cutting
Once curing is complete, the large parent rolls are mounted on high-speed cutting machines. They are precisely cut to the exact width required for your specific pouch size.
Step 9: The Finished Pouch
The cut rolls are processed into finished pouches, such as stand up pouches, rollstock and lay flat pouches.
In this step, zippers (press-to-close), tear notches, and hanging holes are added before your custom packaging is packaged and shipped.
All of our custom pouches are produced in the UK or Europe at the facility closest to you, ensuring faster delivery. With production sites in the UK, France, Poland, and Austria, our provision of efficient, high-quality packaging is achieved with a focus on minimising environmental impact.
The minimum order for pouches is £2000. The minimum order for film rollstock is £1250. The amount in question is subject to variation depending on the pouch size and other specifications. For more information, please read our article: Understanding ePac’s Minimum Order Requirements.
